Recent reports claimed that rapper 50 Cent was heading over to Capitol Records after he completed the terms of his Interscope deal, but according to the G-Unit leader, he hasn’t decided where he is going just yet.
“That guy, I don’t know what his name is, the guy that [said I was going to Capitol], he’s an idiot,” said 50 while talking with DJ Whoo Kid on G-Unit Radio. “And there’s no deal done. He’s an idiot — he’s running his mouth.”
Fif went on to add that Craig Davis, Capitol/EMI Vice President of Urban Promotions, was clearly inebriated during the interview and he also implied that he was inclined to stick with Interscope after the release of his greatest hits compilation.
“Out of nowhere he just comes out, you can tell he’s a little drunk or some sh*t,” added 50. “Interscope, all the success that I’ve had has been with Interscope.”
Davis made the false announcement last week during an interview with Pyramid TV, saying:
“We just signed a 50 Cent deal over here…50 thought he needed to get out of the Interscope machine, he wanted to do a new change so he got his release from there, we were in negotiations with him and the deal just got signed very recently.”
