After Trina and former boyfriend and Denver Nuggets basketball player Kenyon Martin publically announced that they were taking a break from their relationship, pictures began surfacing the web of her and Soulja Boy riding around on a jet ski last year in Jamaica.

The two were even spotted together backstage of the BET Hip-Hop Awards and many assumed that the two were officially dating. Adding more suspension to the rumor, both men reportedly have the lips of Trina tattooed on their necks. Although all the evidence may add up, Trina quickly disposed of the rumors of her and Soulja Boy dating during an interview with radio personality Angela Yee stating that she was only offering her support to him for his music.

“Soulja Boy was supposed to perform on the same show, and I just recorded a record for him which is called Like That. And they were trying to shoot some scenes for his video for that record so it was all fun, we all went out. We were just skiing. We were supposed to do the whole sky diving thing or whatever, and I was just looking up at that balloon like I don’t think I’m getting up there, but it was really cool. I got a chance to perform, it rained, and we just had a good time.”

Trina and Soulja Boy did link up to record parts of their video for their track Like That which appeared on Trina’s latest mixtape Million Dollar Girl.
