Teyana Taylor is not “Fade”-ing away. Still hot off her starring role in Kanye West’s music video, the G.O.O.D. Music songstress paid a visit to “The Wendy Williams Show” on Tuesday (Sept. 20) to discuss both her personal and professional life, including the career-changing video.

“This was a very emotional performance for me,” she said of “Fade.” “It was bigger than just a sports bra and a thong. There was a lot of emotion in that dance.”

The star of VH1’s “The Breaks,” who also confirmed her marriage to NBA star Iman Shumpert during the interview, went on to say she’s often wondered why Kanye wasn’t “doing anything with [her],” but she now realizes that it’s all about timing.

Watch the interview and see highlights from the Q&A below.

ON KANYE WEST: “I’ve been signed to him for a couple of years. I just don’t think I was at that place. I don’t think I was ready. I think timing is everything. God’s timing is everything. It’s crazy because when I was younger, I used to get so frustrated like, ‘Why is he not doing anything with me? What is it that I’m doing wrong? I need to get it poppin’.’”

ON TAE HECKARD CONTROVERSY: “I ain’t seen her since. But remaining a good person and allowing myself to love again is why I am where I am.”

ON HER MARRIAGE: “I have a beautiful baby. I have a wonderful husband.”

ON DELIVERING BABY JUNIE AT HOME: “My water broke on the toilet, girl. [Iman] was trying to get me downstairs and I was like, ‘Look. We’re not making it to the car so I laid on the bathroom floor. Her head was already out…Whole body wasn’t even out. I was like, ‘Oh my God. A pair of shoulders is about to come out my vagina. I don’t know what’s going on.’ The ambulance actually [cut the umbilical cord] once they arrived, but Iman had to tie the umbilical cord with a Beats by Dre cord.”

ON HER WEDDING RING: “[Iman’s] a smart man. He was like, ‘If anything was to ever happen, that ring alone, you already set.’ I said, ‘Yes! I like your style.’ Smart man. This is an untreated ruby. Untreated is when it’s raw…So it’s worth a lot more than a diamond.”
