Elle Varner

Gabrielle Serene Varner, also known as Elle Varner, was born in the City of Angels with a voice to swoon those around her from day one. She started with that beautiful, rustic sound that eventually birthed her growing fame. Varner came from a line of musicians; her mother being a backup singer for Barry White and songwriting for artists like Tevin Campbell and more. Her father is a songwriter, producer and plays multiple instruments. He taught his daughter to play those instruments as well. Elle was destined to be involved in this music business. As a child, she slept in and grew up in the studios and running through green screens playing around. She attended middle and high school tailored towards the musically gifted and Varner excelled and to no surprise to her parents, following in their footsteps while making her own imprints on society.​

After hesitantly applying to New York University with a C average, she was accepted into the admitted into the second class of the Clive Davis Department of Recorded Music; she excelled and graduated. Varner’s vibrant color fashion sense and natural free spirit to match has created a trend of her very own. Her big ideas and talents are bigger than her vivacious curls. Gaining respect with her Conversational Lush mixtape and her hit single, “Only Wanna Give It To You” featuring J. Cole. The track was a fun beat and pop of fresh new rhythm and blues on the scene. A voice like Elle comes one in a million. Her semi- scratchy mixed with her pitch perfect tune has captivated her fans. Following up with another single, “Refill” had everyone wanting to know, who’s Elle Varner? The catchy rack was soon heard across every major radio station. Varner has earned her stripes and is now a well-known recording artist of RCA Records. Dropping her debut album, Perfectly Imperfect, on August 7, 2012, it stands out from any R&B recording artist project. Incorporating some older aspects to her album make it all the more to want to listen to. Varner included the lyrics to every song imprinted inside her album cover, which has not been done since the 90s. Bringing back that classic tradition proves the type of woman and artist that she is. This industry chose Elle long before she ever knew it.

Her career has not even begun to scratch the surface. There is countless material that is hidden from the public that Elle Varner is working on. She continues to bathe in the success of her debut album that has received so much positive feedback across the board. Perfectly Imperfect was charted on the Billboard 200 list for ten weeks.
