Sorry Barbz, The Pink Print is not coming May 5. Nicki Minaj has shut down the rumored release date for her third album.

Earlier this month, the rapper tweeted “Cinco De Mayo,” prompting some fans to assume that the follow-up to 2012′s Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded would arrive that day.

But she put the rumors to rest when “The Insider” caught up with her at the premiere of The Other Woman.

“My album is not dropping on May 5, hell no,” said Nicki. “My fans are once again thinking they know something that they really don’t.”

She is, however, putting out a song in a week-and-a-half, which may explain the May 5 date.

But don’t expect another “Lookin Ass” or “Chi-Raq.”

“I don’t want people to think that I am only gonna be doing that kind of music either,” she told MTV News. “I’m just gonna do what my heart tells me to do.”

One thing’s for sure. It won’t be anything like “Super Bass.” “Hell no!” said Nicki when asked about the comparisons to her chart-topping single.

Her “makeunder” is part of the build-up to The Pink Print, which marks a return to her hip-hop roots.

“As soon as I started working on my third album, that’s just the songs that I’ve been writing,” she said of “Lookin Ass” and “Chi-Raq.” “But there are other types of music on the album that I’m super excited for.”
