Nelly has responded to the allegations of unfair business practices levied against him by former St. Lunatics associate, Slo Mo. According to the Midwest rapper, the hype man shouldn’t have had such high expectations considering his limited level of participation in the actual work that went behind creating the music.

“I wish I could have made ova a half a mill dollars for just wearing a mask on stage!!” said Nelly via his official Twitter account on Monday (August 9)

“Hate ungratefulness pimp! [You] don’t write! Don’t rap! [You] don’t even stay in the studio till the song is done! Still make a half mil.”

Earlier in the week, Slo Mo’ lashed out at Nelly during an interview and said that Nelly took 50 percent of all the profit St. Lunatics brought in and the rest was disbursed to the other members of the crew, himself not included.

“Whatever we did Nelly  not half of that sh*t and the rest of the group split that up…And when it came to splitting the money I wasn’t part of the rest of the group….I ain’t write no lyrics or nothing but…I brought more to the stage show, [and] to the image,” claimed the hype man.

In other news, Nelly has signed on to become the newest on-air personality for St. Louis’ Hot 104.1. The MC is filling in for one of the station’s radio hosts who is currently on maternity leave.
