The kings of New York, Nas and Jay-Z, came together to celebrate the “Nasty” MC’s 38th birthday at Catch in New York City last night. The birthday boy, looking sharp in a crimson tuxedo jacket, black bow tie, adidas kicks, and shades, blew out the candles on his cake and raised a glass with his friends including Common, Ne-Yo, Zoe Saldana, Carmelo Anthony, DJ Khaled, Tyson Beckford, and DJ Premier.

Nas, who shares a birthday with Amy Winehouse, took a moment to remember his late friend on what would have been her 28th birthday.

“Special shout out and love goes out to a Angel we all lost … The world lost. A real musician, true artist. Amy Winehouse,” he wrote.

Nas has a gift for his fans. He is expected to announce the official title and release date for his new album later this month.
