The poetic sounds of Wilethon Boyce also known as Jae Ace has captured the attention of true avid listeners. His artistic ability to rap has the potential to go far into the music industry. The unique sounds are soothing to the soul and mind. Portraits of Hours was released in dedication to his mother, Ms. Judy Ann Edwards, on the five year anniversary of her homegoing on April 20, 2012. His heartfelt sincerity is heard in his voice and throughout the album. Miss Judy Ann Edwards has provided the drive and ambition that Jae Ace possesses; not to mention also the “JAE” in his name. His simplistic, but deep lyrics captures the love and attention from his fans. The honest and savvy style is easy for people to relate to and have the up most respect for him.

Throughout Portraits of Hours, I feel that he purposely makes his voice a bit louder than the beat, making sure his clear, concise words are heard and understood. A real artist wants and needs to be heard. The strength of this music has to ability to multiply the fan base. You can smell the determination in the air as the music plays. My interpretation for the reason he names this album, Portraits of Hours is that Jae Ace is showing the audience a mental portrait of the work ethic put into this album. He’s opening his heart and sharing with his fans the countless hours of the work that has been and will be put into all of his projects. Portraits last forever and will always be embedded in our hearts. This album is a hand held guide by Jae Ace himself, taking you through the world as he has seen it. There is no doubt that this will not be the last time the world hears from the artist, Jae Ace.

No doubt the world is waiting on the new mixtape #LearnU to be released fairly soon. After the ATNPL Show was a success, there was no stopping Jae Ace from doing what he does best. The collaborative mixtape of The Regime is still rocking the speakers of all the real fans out there. Next up is Jae Ace’s new project Learn U. He released a freestyle and a song “Vent-Age” along with a promotional video for the mixtape. 2013 is full of new surprises for The Regime. The brotherhood is a bond to be envied and a new year means a fresh start for the success that CMG possesses. Jae Ace is leaving his footprints across the moon and only time can tell when the music gets into the right hands for the growing independent artist. -Free @InkStains_
