As it was previously reported, southern rapper Gucci Mane was recently released from prison after serving nearly a year for violating terms of his probation. After happily being greeted by ATL rapper and friend Shawty Lo, Gucci Mane made it his duty to continue where he left off and deliver to his fans. After speaking to Hot 97 host Angie Martinez, he revealed that he was shooting a video for his track Everybody Looking which appeared on his latest mixtape The Burrprint 2 HD.
“Nonstop. Everything is just green light. Everything is on go! I’m at the video shoot right now, and now I’m talking to Hot 97 — what a day!”
Gucci Mane is also looking forward to his first performance at Hot 97’s annual Summer Jam concert this upcoming summer. The event will take place in New York on June 6 and will feature performances from other big name artists such as Drake, Trey Songz, Nicki Minaj, Ludacris, Juelz Santana, Fabolous, Talib Kweli, DJ Khalid, and Usher.
“Ya’ll have the best performers,” Gucci said of the June 6 radio concert. “Everybody pulls off lots of stunts. I’m excited about it because it’s my first time every doing it in New York so Imma bring so much energy out there.”
In addition to shooting a new video, Gucci Mane will release a mixtape with DJ Holiday titled Writing On The Wall 2 and two albums, The State vs. Radric Davis 2: The Appeal and The State vs. Radric Davis: The Verdict in the near future that will follow his 2009 album The State vs. Radric Davis.
