Future has crafted hits for Rihanna, Ciara, and Lil Wayne, and now he’s calling on some star power for his sophomore album. The Freebandz rapper has announced collaborations with Nicki Minaj and Miley Cyrus.
During an appearance on MTV’s “RapFix Live,” he revealed that the Young Money diva is featured on “Rock Star Life.”
“Nicki Minaj is dope,” he said. “We’ve worked in the studio together, but that particular record she wasn’t in the studio.”
Miley Cyrus and Mr Hudson also guest on the Mike Will Made It-produced “Real and True.”
“I worked with Miley Cyrus when we were working on her project, for her album,” he said of their Bangerz collaboration “My Darlin’.”
“I was doing some records in Vegas and Mr Hudson sent a hook back he did on a Mike Will track. He played it for Miley and she wanted to be a part of it, so I’m putting the record on my album also.”
Originally due Nov. 26, Honest has been delayed to December and has already spawned the title track and street single “Sh!t.”
Future has been listening to Amy Winehouse, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Marley, and Coldplay for inspiration.
“This about to be the album of the year,” he told HuffPost Live of the follow-up to his 2012 debut Pluto.
Prior to the album’s release, he will hit the road with Drake and Miguel on the “Would You Like a Tour?” trek, beginning Oct. 18 in Pittsburgh.
