Beyoncé is going digital. The pop superstar has relaunched her website and sent out her first tweet. Beyonce.com has been revamped to include photos, videos, and hand-written notes to her fans about her inspirations including Sade and Jean-Michel Basquiat. The site describes itself as

“a newly personal view into her world, for you, by her.”

She also offers an intimate glimpse into her personal life on her newly launched Tumblr page. In the candid snapshots, Bey poses with family members including Jay-Z, Solange, cousin Angie Beyince, and nephew Julez.

“To my BeyHive fans all around the world—I AM…online!!!” she wrote. “It’s been a long time coming—but I finally have my own place on the web. This is only the beginning, we have so much planned for my site. So much already being created, so please, stay connected, stay tuned, and be good to each other. See you soon. Love Beyoncé.”

In one of the home videos, a pregnant Bey stands by a Blue Ivy tree as Jay-Z films her.

“We passed by this beautiful blue tree,” says the singer of the tree, which she named her daughter after. “I think it’s Blue Ivy, which would be quite appropriate.”

Beyoncé has had a Twitter account since April 2009 and amassed over 3.5 million followers without even sending out a tweet, but that changed today when she tweeted for the first time.

“Hey World, It’s B! I’m so excited to invite you to my new http://beyonce.com – we’ve been working hard, and it’s finally ready for you XO,” she wrote.

The new digital platforms are a way for her to connect with her fans, whom she calls the “BeyHive.”
