Often referred to as Lil Wayne’s Young Money Entertainment Label “Best Kept Secret,” singer/songwriter/choreographer Shanell is not hiding behind anything or anyone. YMCMB became official in 2005 but she was working long before that. The Massachusetts’s native keeps a lower profile than most but she definitely has a commanding, but sweet and harmonious voice that is about to break out.  She began to explore this time consuming music industry as a dancer for mainstream artists on tours. She has learned and is proficient in modern, jazz and ballet type dance. As a Pop/R&B singer, she always adds the extra flavor of Hip Hop in her songs and will include her YMCMB teammates such as Lil Wayne and Drake. She was performing the “Up Close & Personal” Tour with singer/songwriter Ne-yo as a dancer when she met the music mogul, Lil Wayne. After hearing her voice, she was immediately extended the opportunity to join his team and to be a part of his 2011 “I Am Still Music” Tour. He allowed her to be free in her musical expression as a performer and art director in the tour. She gained the experience of a lifetime and there was much more where that came from.

Writing for well-known artists like Melanie Fiona, Beyonce, Ne-yo, Kelis and Jennifer Hudson is what created a buzz behind the scenes for Shanell. Her writing skills were phenomenal enough to be captivating in the eyes of those singers. A respectable woman with a reputable background and a reliable, supportive team of accomplished men behind her intrigued the public of her delicate, ladylike presence and capabilities.  She can entice her fans with her calm, melodic voice in a song of rhythm and blues but then change her image with a hot beat and a few rap artists. Shanell’s versatility is what will make her career concrete.

Her last mix tape, “Shut Up & Listen” has gotten over 2 million downloads and counting. She is currently perfecting her debut album which is yet to be released. In the meantime, she will be dropping her next mix tape entitled, “Nobody’s B*tch.” She has her newest single to date “So Good” featuring Lil Wayne & Drake. The video is a great representation of Shanell’s fun personality and musical flexibility. “So Good” is a smooth, sultry, and yet spicy song that is appealing to the ear and catchy for both men and women. She adds her background of being a choreographer in the classic drive-in movie video. The dark haired beauty has defined originality in this music industry as a singer, dancer and a successful prominent entertainer with more to come. She stands firm on her beliefs and has a loyal fan base to prove her work ethic. The good life has presented itself to her and she is milking it for all that it is worth. She intensifies her natural abilities and steps it up in every business venture she is a part of. There is so much more to come from the beautiful singer, @shanell_SnL. -Free @InkStains22
