Someone cannot be a true to their love of Hip hop beginning in the early 2000s without mentioning rapper Fabolous. The new millennium was never for the world to end but to bring light to one of the hottest rap artists, Fabolous. Born of his Brooklyn roots, he then was signed to Desert Storm records which turned into a distribution deal with Elektra Records after being on DJ Clue’s radio show. He first broke into the scene with his album Ghetto Fabolous but it wasn’t until his second album, Street Dreams, was released that he got much more exposure. Amazingly, hit after hit proved that he created a career with longevity. Huge hits like, “Can’t Let You Go,”  “So Into You,” “Throw It In The Bag,”  “Breathe,” & “Make Me Better” are only scratching the surface of his work. He has gained AMA, BET, Grammy, Source and Teen Choice awards. His resume is quite impressive working with huge names in the industry. What’s next in Fab’s career? His latest mix tape, Soul Tape 2, was released this past Thanksgiving but an album is yet to be discussed.

One thing that some may not know is that Fab is a very generous and charitable man. In 2011, he founded, A Fabolous Way, which is an organization that gives back to the children of New York City. It seeks to provide opportunity and guidance in places for those who may be less fortunate in emotional, spiritual and mental ways.  He gives a way for the youth to understand a better life they will be able to grow into. Similarly to a mentoring system, the charitable foundation finds its way into helping a lot more than just one but expanding among the community.  These acts of pure generosity show the type of upbringing that Fabolous comes from and how much giving back to his home state means to him. He is actively involved which shows his human side that is very relatable to many.

Had it not been for VH1’s Love and Hip Hop, many would not have known about Fabolous’ long term relationship with stylist Emily Bustamante, let alone the toddler boy they share. He focused on his career as his first priority rather than sharing his personal life with the world. Fans can either lose respect for the artist, assuming there is something to be hidden from them or gain respect for the strong hustle as it pertains to the heavy work schedule in this crazy entertainment world.  Either way, Fabolous remains humble and highly respected from fans and business partners.  He jumps on and off the scene but he always amazes his fan base when he comes back. He can at times be deemed “the greatest man of comeback.” The innovative styles of him are inspiring, including his yet to be released clothing line. He is closing the 2012 year with a huge bang with the anticipation of more to come. This is a crucial time in his career and becoming a ghost would not be the ideal business decision. He is definitely here to stay and no doubt will provide some of the best music in his career from here on out. Download his latest mixtape Fabolous – Soul Tape 2  -Free @InkStains22
