4 Year Old Boy Killed By A Stray Bullet At NYE Church Service

A 4-year-old boy who went to church with his mother for New Year’s lost his life when he was struck by a stray bullet fired in celebration.

Marquel Peters was shot as the bullet cut through the roof of the Covington Drive Church Of God of Prophecy in Decatur, GA. Marquel’s mother, Nathalee Peters, helplessly held the boy as he died. He was struck in the head.

It is a tradition in some circles to fire guns into the air at the onset of a new year. Sadly, those bullets have to come down and the life of a child was lost.
