“Hello” from the 59th Annual Grammy Awards.

Dressed in a sparkly burgundy, purple, red, and black gown, Adele kicked off Sunday’s show with a spectacular performance of the lead single from her chart-dominating album 25.

Backed by a large black-and-white projection of herself, the powerhouse performance went off without a glitch, unlike last year’s “All I Ask” set, which was hampered by technical difficulties.

“Hello” was a winner before the show even started. The 25 single won Best Pop Solo Performance, up against Beyoncé’s “Hold Up,” Justin Bieber’s “Love Yourself,” Kelly Clarkson’s “Piece By Piece (Idol Version),” and Ariana Grande’s “Dangerous Woman.”

The British superstar is up for five gramophones this year, including major nods in the Album, Record, and Song of the Year categories.
