Claim to fame hit singles like “Rack City,” “Make it Nasty” and “Faded” has given Tyga his much deserved success and a stable future as a member of Young Money Entertainment. The 23 year old rapper and entertainer is quite accomplished at this point in his life. Born in the City of Angels of his Vietnamese and African American descent, gives him that special, exotic look and it is that exotic look that has attracted Miami dancer, model and vixen Blac Chyna, who is now the mother of Tyga’s firstborn son, Cairo. Chyna was a well-known dancer at King of Diamonds and Tyga spotted her and has not let go since. They began as a lowkey couple but the secret is now public and the fans are celebrating. Tyga himself is thrilled on the new addition to his possible growing family. He was quick to get the tattoo of his son’s name on his forearm. Time will only tell what’s in store for the small, happy family of three. His tattooed lifestyle is in sync with his girlfriend and it shows on their cover of Urban Ink Magazine.
His first album, No Introduction, was released independently in June 2008 with Decaydance Records. His single, “Diamond Life” was featured on the video game Need For Speed: Undercover, Madden NFL 2009 and in the 2009 film, Fighting. He began rapping with his cousin Travie McCoy, lead of the group Gym Class Heroes. McCoy was able to help him out and promote his music. Tyga’s 2007 debut mixtape, Young On Probation, is what caught Young Money’s attention enough to sign him. The label’s 2009 collaborative album, We Are Young Money, was a platform to showcase the potential of each artist individually and from there, Tyga took off and launched his solo career to be bigger than he’s imagined. Careless World: Rise of the Last King was the second album he put out, but a first album for his new label and was available in stores February 21, 2012. He released singles, “Far Away,” “Still Got It” and “Rack City” in promotion for the album. The series of Well Done mixtapes, B*tchImTheSh*t, Fan of a Fan and countless other mixtapes were all in promotion of keeping his name alive and well in the public eye. During 2012, Tyga directed an adult film he named Rack City: The XXX Movie starring himself briefly in a non-sexual role.
Tyga is currently working on his third studio album, Hotel California, to be released in March this year. His first single was released this past Christmas titled, 187, and features Rick Ross. I anticipation for the album, he created a nine track mixtape, 187, and was released November 30, 2012. In the mixtape, he remixed recent songs like 2 Chainz, “I’m Different” and GOOD MUSIC’s “Clique” and more. Tyga needs no introduction as he has stated in his music. He has undoubtedly set himself apart from being overlooked in Young Money. Everyone now knows who Tyga is and he belongs in his own category. His career is semi short lived thus far but has the potential of longevity. Tyga has created his own stepping stone for everything that is to come. -Free @InkStains_
