Discovered by director Hype Williams, Karrine Steffans first appeared in Jay Z’s Hey Papi music video in 2000, and went on to star in a dozen other music videos for such artists as Ja Rule and Neyo. She was also cast opposite Larenz Tate in the Vin Diesel movie, A Man Apart.

Along her path to success, Steffans had several casual relationships with superstars including Diddy, Ja Rule, Jay Z, Bobby Brown and Usher.  It was in those controversial relationships that she earned the nickname “Superhead.”  Yet it wasn’t all glitz and glamour.  During her time in Hollywood, Steffans became involved in drugs and after losing everything, found herself living in a car with her son.

Looking for an opportunity to financially redeem herself, she wrote Confessions of a Video Vixen, a tell-all novel of her intimate affairs with celebrities.  The success of her book led to two additional works, The Vixen Diaries and Seduce & Keep the Man You Want.

While Steffans has remained a controversial figure as the result of her novels and public relationships, it’s the story of who she was before the videos that Life After will explore as well as how she’s dealing with her past and present while planning for her future.
