Money, power, and drugs. Pusha T paints a gritty picture with the second trailer for his upcoming mixtape Wrath of Caine. The powerful clip features footage of the war on drugs and sound bites from former presidents Reagan and Bush.
Pusha is making no apologies for his brash sound.
“I like to think my music has a lot of perspective too even though people might not think so,” he told The Village Voice. “More than anything it’s about showcasing who I am. Even in [Clipse] I was more the brash young, unapologetic rapper.”
The G.O.O.D. Music MC is nominated for two Grammys this year for “Mercy.”
“It’d be fresher if I was nominated for my own song,” he laughed. “Nah, I’ve never been apart of something like this so I’m happy to be a part of it. It’s something… It’s great for G.O.O.D. Music.”
So who does Pusha think is the best rapper right now?
“Jay-Z. No wait. I take that back. André 3000 is my favorite rapper right now,” he said.
