R&B singer Toni Braxton has denied recent reports that claim that a love affair is to blame for the state of her relationship with estranged husband, Keri Lewis. Instead, according to Braxton, their marriage may have been worn down by the stress of their working together.

“There wasn’t a third party involved — nothing like that,” said Braxton during a recent interview. “If there was, I’d have a whole different personality right now. Maybe it was the working together — the stress — that ended our marriage. But we are great friends still.  I’m not happy about the marriage breaking up, but you gotta do what you gotta do — you know when things are dissolving.”

Despite what they may be going through, Braxton insists that the biggest priorities of her and Lewis right now are their two sons, and she also revealed that while she doesn’t plan on getting a divorce anytime soon, it may be a while before they are reunited.

“[We] haven’t talked about divorce yet. When you have a special-needs child, that changes things. We’ll see what happens, I’m not eager for us to get back together again, but…I’m not eager to go any further than separation right now. I think for boys, it’s important for a father to be around and Keri is very active in their lives.”

In related news, Braxton recently released her sixth studio album, Pulse, on May 4 via Atlantic Records.
