T.I. speaks out once again.

A day after protesting Donald Trump’s presidential win, TIP joined “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” to explain why he hit the streets to voice his displeasure with the election results.

“Nobody in their right mind can ever assume that just gathering and going somewhere and showing an incredible disdain for a decision that the nation has made, that it will actually do anything immediately,” he explained. “I just want to be able to look my kids in the eyes and make sure they know I did everything that the constitution allows me to do to show my objection to this decision.”

The King of the South was also on “Kimmel” to talk about his name change. He shared the well-known story of how he initially shortened it to T.I. to avoid confusion with his then-labelmate Q-Tip.

Now, he says, the name change gives him a different feeling.

“You know what?” he said. “I haven’t had a chance to think about it, but now that you mention it, I do feel a little bit better.”

While there, he also performed his Us or Else single “Black Man” with special guests Meek Mill, Quavo, and RaRa.
