Let the countdown begin. Beyoncé is reportedly readying new music that she plans to drop before her Super Bowl halftime gig in February.
According to The-Dream, the “Single Ladies” singer will “definitely” release new material before Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans on February 3. “She’s got her stuff going,” he tells Billboard.
“She took the summer to start recording, and now she’s in a place where she’s ready to start gearing up to reveal her plan.”
The follow-up to her 2011 album 4 is already far enough along that she may release more than one song before Super Bowl Sunday. “She’s already gearing up to get ready to put stuff out,” adds The-Dream, who’s heavily involved in the process.
“I’m sure there will probably be a couple records you hear before the Super Bowl gets here.”
Beyoncé has been in the studio recording her fifth solo album and was recently photographed collaborating with Miguel. She will also star in and direct her own feature-length documentary, airing February 16 on HBO.
