The rape case against Nelly has been dropped.

The St. Louis rapper is no longer being investigated after a woman accused him of raping her on his tour bus in October, according to the New York Daily News.

Nelly, born Cornell Iral Haynes Jr., was arrested and booked on second degree rape charges on Oct. 7 after a woman claimed he raped her on his bus in a Walmart parking lot following his show at the White River Amphitheatre in Auburn, Wash. The unidentified accuser decided not to press charges and has refused to cooperate with the investigation, according to the King County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

“Within days of her initial report to police, the complainant, through her attorney, informed investigators from the Auburn police department that she did not wish to assist in prosecution or the investigation of Mr. Haynes,”

the prosecutor’s office told E! News.

The “Hot in Herre” hitmaker has publicly denied the accusations.

“I am confident that once the facts are looked at, it will be very clear that I am the victim of a false allegation,” Nelly tweeted after being released from custody. “I do want to apologize to my loved ones for the embarrassment and for putting myself in a situation where I could be victimized by this false and defaming allegation.”

In October, the woman’s lawyer, Karen Koehler, explained why her client was no longer proceeding with the charges.

“Every step off the way since the time she called 911, she wishes she had not,” wrote Koehler in a letter. “Not because what happened didn’t occur exactly the way she described it. Not because she did not want the police to charge the celebrity with alleged rape. She wishes she had not called 911 because she believes the system is going to fail her.”

After the case was dropped, T.I. took to Instagram in support of his longtime friend.

“Now WHAT HAPPENS TO HER?!?!?!” he asked, adding the hashtag “#KnewMyPatnaAintDoThatShit.”
