Last year’s BET Awards may have been a letdown, especially in the aftermath of Michael Jackson’s passing, but the 2010 BET Awards looks to right that wrong.  The show, hosted by Queen Latifah, will be a star-studded that offers a bevy of musical performances.

The list of performers for tonight’s show appears endless, to the point where you have to wonder just how BET will incorporate so many artists onto a live show.  The big names begin with Kanye West, who will come out of hiding following his infamous MTV VMAs moment in 2009.

Other artists tapped to rock the mic are Alicia Keys, Drake, Trey Songz, Nicki Minaj, Diddy, Dirty Money, Ludacris, T.I., Rick Ross, Eminem, Usher, DJ Khaled, Marvin Sapp, T-Pain, Yolanda Adams, Kim Burrell, Karen Clark Sheard, Kirk Franklin, and Fred Hammond.

BET will also dole out honors to both celebrities and local heroes.  Among music’s honorees are John Legend, who will receive the Humanitarian Award and Prince, who will be given the a Lifetime Achievement Award.
