During a recent interview, Southern rap star T.I. spoke out about his decision to cut ties with then-Grand Hustle member Alfamega and according to Tip, he released Alfa from his recording contract out of concern for the affect it may have had on business.

“I can’t afford to really be associated with that. That ain’t in my best interest,” he explained. “Either way it go, it’s kinda like they only thought about themselves. Never mind how it affects you, never mind how it could fall back on you. ‘It’s all about me.’ So if that’s the take on it, I have no choice but to separate myself just due to what’s best for me and mine.”

While T.I. was incarcerated, Alfa blasted the self-proclaimed King Of The South and claimed that Tip did indeed know about his previous involvement with the government.  In his most recent interview though, Alfa said that despite all that has happened their relationship can still be mended, provided he gets an apology.

“This situation [can] always be resolved. I’m a grown man. He suppose to be a grown man too…I don’t want anything but [an] apology. Give me an apology [and] I’m through, I’m gone. I’ll let it be…,” insisted Alfa.

In related news, T.I. will release his seventh studio album, King Uncaged, on August 17th via Grand Hustle/Atlantic Records. The project includes collaborations with DJ Toomp, TrackSlayerz, Lady Gaga, Eminem, The-Dream, and others.
