Major key alert! Solange Knowles has received the key to the city of New Orleans.

The 29-year-old singer, who resides in the Big Easy with her husband Alan Ferguson and son Daniel Julez, was humbled by the honor.

“I can’t put into words how grateful I am to be given the key to the city,” she tweeted. “New Orleans, from the bottom of my soul, I am so thankful.”

So how did she celebrate? By

“playing Cash Money and No Limit all day.”

While Solange has a new key, she may also need a new ring. According to TMZ, she lost her wedding ring on Thursday (Feb. 4) during a Mardi Gras parade along St. Charles Avenue. She was there as New Orleans’ honorary muse, according to Nola.

To cheer her up, her son Julez offered these kind words about the whole situation.

An undisclosed reward is being offered for the ring, according to ABC.
