Rihanna’s Boston fans will have to wait to see her on tour. The pop superstar has postponed her Boston concert after falling ill with laryngitis.

The 25-year-old singer was scheduled to play her second show on the “Diamonds” World Tour on Sunday night at TD Garden, but was forced to cancel it after contracting laryngitis.

Live Nation released the following statement:

“Unfortunately, following her sold-out concert on Friday, Rihanna has contracted laryngitis and per doctor’s instruction is unable to perform this evening.”

RiRi expressed her disappointment to her fans.

“#BOSTON this is the hardest thing for me to deal with! I feel like we’ve been waiting on this day forever, and I’m hurt that I let you down,” she tweeted. “I hate disappointing people that never ever let me down!! I’m so embarrassed about this! Thank you for your prayers and well wishes!”

A show in Baltimore on Tuesday is scheduled to go on as planned, while the Boston show will be rescheduled for a later date.

Rihanna’s “Diamonds” tour kicked off on Friday in Buffalo, New York, and is set to stop in over 25 cities across the U.S. through May.
