According to recent reports, R&B group 112 has reunited and will release a new album later this year. The group’s last collective effort was the 2005 album, Pleasure & Pain. Shortly after the release of the album though and amidst rumors of issues regarding money, the members separated to pursue solo careers.

Q Parker, one fourth of the successful group, broke the news via his official Twitter account.

“In the studio wit my boys Mike and Daron! New 112 album coming soon!” read the tweet.

112 released their self-titled debut album in 1996 via Diddy’s Bad Boy record label. It featured the hit singles Only You and Cupid and collaborations with fellow label mates The Notorious B.I.G., Mase, and Faith Evans. The album entered into the top 5 on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart, and went on to sale over two million copies.

Their sophomore project, Room 112, was released in 1998, and featured the hits, Love Me and Anywhere featuring Lil Zane. Until the last album, the longest gap between projects for the group was 2 years. Room 112’s follow-up, Part III (2001), spun the hit Peaches & Cream, and earned the group their first and only Grammy nomination in the Best R&B Group or Duo category.

The yet-to-be titled album currently doesn’t have a release date.
