Nicki Minaj’s Right Through Me off her forthcoming debut Pink Friday was leaked on to the Internet Wednesday (September 22). The Young Money rapper had recently discussed the track calling it a “standout” but told fans they shouldn’t expect to hear it anytime soon.

“I have a record called Right Through Me that I think will be a standout. It’s not going to come right now. It’ll come closer to when the album drops, but it’s a really, really really pretty song. Everyone’s gonna like it. It’s really insightful but in a very conversational way, “ said Minaj to MTV News.

But fans got a chance to hear the song sooner than she anticipated; a full two months before her album hits stores. The producer of the track, Drew Money, spoke with VIBE yesterday to deny having anything to do with its early emergence saying that he had “no clue” it would leak.

“I had no clue Right Through Me was going to leak,” he proclaimed. “All I knew about the record was that they were considering it as a single. I went into the studio with Nicki specifically in mind. We’ve never worked together before but I just knew it would be the right type of record for her.”

Adding,

“She called me a few days ago and was really excited about the song. Nicki just nailed it, I didn’t even have to touch it after she sent it back. It’s already playing it on the radio and it hasn’t dropped officially. There’s only going to be more to come from us.”
