Miami Heat star LeBron James is getting married this weekend in a three-day affair in San Diego, sources tell Page Six.

James will marry his longtime love Savannah Brinson in a top-secret and high-security ceremony. Speculation is that the wedding will be held at either the Grand Del Mar or Hotel Del Coronado. The pair, who have dated since high school, got engaged Dec. 31, 2011, and have two children, LeBron Jr. and Bryce.

Sources tell us James is planning a smaller wedding than what would normally be expected of an NBA All-Star’s nuptials.

“He cut the list down because he didn’t want to have 1,000 people at the wedding,”

said one source. It’s also likely to be smaller because it will take place during the Jewish day of atonement, Yom Kippur. But the guest list will still number in the hundreds, we’re told.

LeBron’s teammate Dwyane Wade and girlfriend Gabrielle Union, his childhood friend and longtime manager Maverick Carter, Chris Paul, Carmelo Anthony and wife La La Anthony and Heat president Pat Riley and head coach Erik Spoelstra are all expected to attend.

We hear the festivities will begin with a welcome barbecue on Friday evening before the afternoon wedding on Saturday, which will be followed by cocktails, dinner and dancing to DJs and possibly a live band.

Wedding guests will feast at a farewell brunch on Sunday, to close the weekend bash.

The extravaganza is being organized by celebrity wedding planner Preston Bailey, who also oversaw the “Lord of the Rings”-themed Big Sur, Calif., union of Sean Parker and Alexandra Lenas, which cost a reported $10 million.

Before the couple say “I do,” James, Brinson, James’ mother Gloria and several other close friends vacationed in the South of France last weekend. The group was spotted taking a boat to Cannes to have dinner at Bâoli restaurant, where they shared a large, round table in the outdoor garden.

A rep for the Heat declined to comment on King James’ wedding.

USA Today, via the Associated Press, confirmed LeBron James’ wedding and passed along a statement from Savannah Brinson:

The Miami Heat star married Savannah Brinson in San Diego on Saturday, according to two people familiar with the details of the ceremony.

About 200 guests were present for the ceremony, said one of the people, both of whom spoke on condition of anonymity because the hotel wedding was private and the couple had yet to release any details. The ceremony was the highlight of a three-day celebration that will conclude with a brunch on Sunday.

Brinson spoke briefly with AP about the wedding last spring, saying she was both excited and nervous. James has only discussed the wedding in general terms, once describing his role as only to ensure “that Savannah gets whatever she wants on her day, the wedding day she always dreamed of.”
