The “Yeezus Tour” made a detour during its stop in Boston on Sunday. Prior to his show at TD Garden, Kanye West visited with students at Harvard University.

Dressed in a white bomber jacket and jeans, the G.O.O.D. Music rapper spoke to a packed room at the Harvard Graduate School of Design as part of the DONDA Design Lecture Series.

His associate Virgil Abloh tweeted about the experience.

“Just gave a talk at Harvard GSD with Kanye. Super surreal. #DONDA design lecture series,” he said.

During his brief visit, the DONDA visionary lectured about the importance of design.

“I just wanted to tell you guys, I really do believe that the world can be saved through design,” said ‘Ye. “Everything needs to be actually architected. And this is the reason why even some of the first Donda employees were architects that started designing T-shirts instead of buildings.”

He shared his philosophy with the receptive crowd.

“The reason why I turn up so much in interviews is because I’ve tasted what it means to create and be able to impact and affect in a positive way and I know that there’s more creativity to happen,” he said. “And I know that there’s traditionalists that hold back the good thoughts and there’s people in offices that stop the creative people and are intimidated by actual good ideas and I believe utopia is actually possible, but we’re led by the least noble, the least dignified, the least tasteful, the dumbest, and the most political.”

A humble Kanye praised the students and admitted that even he has flaws.

“I really appreciate you guys willingness to learn and hone your craft and not be lazy about creation,” he continued. “I’m very inspired to be in this space. And tonight, the show, if you come see it, I’m a bit self-conscious because I’m showing it to architects. So the stage does have flaws in it. It’s an expression of emotion, so give me a pass on that.”

His bride-to-be Kim Kardashian was also by her man’s side.

“My baby speaking at the Harvard Graduate School of Design,” tweeted Kim along with an Instagram pic.

During his visit, Kanye also gave away concert tickets to the entire office.

After some production difficulties, the “Yeezus Tour” resumed in Philadelphia on Saturday. It will play two shows at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center this week.
