It’s that time again. The 2015 BET Hip Hop Awards are here. The awards show kicks off tonight after being filmed at the Boisfeuillet Jones Atlanta Civic Center in Georgia on Oct. 9. Aside from the winners and performances, rappers (and a few singers) got dressed up and showed off their fashionable threads for the “green” carpet.
Judging by the outfits, the color of choice seemed to be black. However, there were a few rappers who decided to bring some color to the green carpet. Travi$ Scott donned a colorful flannel shirt and a white tee with Kermit the Frog on it while Redman went all denim with his look. Maino was dressed in all-white with a dip-dyed embroidered shirt and matching jeans and Rich Homie Quan turned heads when he showed up at the awards show looking dapper in a royal blue suit and 50 Cent’s son Marquise even stopped by the carpet.
As for the rappers who wore black on the green carpet, we have to give a tip of the hat to Rick Ross, who wore a tuxedo jacket and red Air Jordan sneakers. DeJ Loaf, who appeared on the green carpet with her mother, donned black skintight leather pants that hugged her curves with a matching jacket zipped down in the front. Meanwhile, Scarface looked very conservative in a turtleneck and blazer jacket. Finally, the BET Hip Hop Awards host Snoop Dogg kept it casual with an all-black sweatshirt and jogger pants.
