Pharrell is everywhere. Following his appearances on “SNL” and “GMA” earlier in the week, the Oscar-nominated hitmaker stopped by “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Thursday, where he performed “Happy” and his latest G I R L single “Marilyn Monroe” with some female dancers.
He also showed off his Swarovski-studded Stan Smith sneakers and discussed his nine Billboard Music Awards nominations, his love for women, and equality for everyone.
“Who are you telling who they can marry and who they can’t?” said Pharrell. “This is 2014.”
Ellen also presented him with a giant brown hat, but Pharrell realized that it might draw comparisons to something less PG.
“This might be a lot online,” he laughed.
Plus, he helped Ellen surprise the young students at Detroit Academy of Arts and Sciences with a $50,000 check.
Expect to see even more of Pharrell in the coming days. He will perform at Coachella on Saturday and sit down with Oprah on OWN’s “Oprah Prime” on Sunday.
