Nicki Minaj brought some sunshine to the set of “Good Morning America” when she stopped by on Tuesday. Decked out in an all-pink suit and curly pink wig, the “Freedom” rapper spoke about her performance with Justin Bieber at the AMAs, her new fragrance “Pink Friday,” and her album The Re-Up. Plus, she responded to reports of a rift with fellow “American Idol” judge Mariah Carey.

“It didn’t make me happy at all,” said Nicki, who previously collaborated with Mariah on the remix to “Up Out My Face.” “Sometimes when you are a passionate woman, sometimes it ruffles other women’s feathers. But I’m going to continue to be Nicki Minaj.”

So are the ladies ready to bury the hatchet and record a duet? Not so fast, says Nicki.

On performing with Bieber at the AMAs: “That was interesting. I was surprised when they asked me to perform with him on the AMAs. Of course I was like, ‘Well, I can’t turn that down.’ … I was like, ‘It will be a good thing, I guess.’”

On her re-release: “The new songs are more gigantic to me. It’s technically a re-release, but it feels like a new album to me.”

On her judging style on “American Idol”: “I wouldn’t consider myself a tough judge. I would consider myself an honest judge.”

On a potential duet with Mariah Carey: “I was kidding. She’s been one of my favorite artists of all time since I can remember, so it’s weird that everything was blown up like that. It didn’t make me happy at all. She knows how much I adore her. Some of my best childhood memories from my mom are from Mariah’s music. I can’t deny that and I can’t take away what she’s done in my life and just pop culture in general.”
