Before Nicki Minaj makes her debut on “American Idol” in January, fans will get a closer look into her life on an E! reality special. The network has confirmed that the “Pound the Alarm” rapper will star in three episodes.

The trilogy will give viewers intimate access into her personal and professional life with never-before-seen footage when it begins airing in November.

“If you only have such one-dimensional things to go off of, like rumors and stuff on blogs, then you kinda never get to know the artist, and when you pull them in your world, they see you as a real person and they understand everything,” said Nicki, who previously starred in the 2010 MTV documentary, “My Time Now.” “I’m not running away from it anymore.”

Meanwhile, her re-release Pink Friday…Roman Reloaded Re-Up is due in November featuring five to six new songs including “The Boys” with Cassie and a collaboration with Lil Wayne.
