Bruno Mars rocketed to the top of the charts and spawned three hit singles with his 2010 debut Doo-Wops & Hooligans, and before the year is done, he will drop the highly-anticipated follow-up.

Billboard has revealed that the album will be titled Unorthodox Jukebox and arrive on December 11 via Elektra Records.

The first single, “Locked Out of Heaven,” is set to premiere October 1 at 7 p.m. EST. A video, directed by Cameron Duddy, is already in production.

“This is me going into the studio and recording and writing whatever I want,” Mars told the magazine. “This album represents my freedom.”

The project includes contributions from Mark Ronson, Diplo, Jeff Bhasker, Emile Haynie, Supa Dups, and the Smeezingtons, who executive-produced and co-wrote Unorthodox Jukebox.
