While hosting his record label Mass Appeal’s SXSW “Live at the BBQ” event on Thursday (March 17), Nas premiered “The Sickness,” a collaboration with J Dilla slated to appear on the late producer’s highly-anticipated album The Diary.

“New shit coming from my man, the incredible J Dilla, coming out this year,” said God’s Son. “[It’s] his last piece, his last album, the thing he was working on. We’re honored to release that through Mass Appeal.”

The track features Dilla rhyming about being

“the first thing that comes to your mind when you think of hardcore,” while Nas raps about his Silicon Valley trips and why he’s “into trade so much.”

Dilla and Nas previously joined forces on “The Season,” which was released in 2014.

While Esco preps the release of The Diary through Mass Appeal, he’s also reportedly working on his own follow-up to 2013’s Life Is Good.
