When you think Milwaukee’s music scene its tough to think of a handful of dedicated artists that really take their craft seriously. When you think Milwaukee you think Grammy Award winning songwriter Rico Love, triple threat Jacob Latimore, Prophetic, Aliesa Nicole, Singer/Songwriter AshleYYY, Pacino or even the child sensation KeySwag 3000. When you think about it that’s a strong stable of artist’s.
Enter’s Pizzle. Here goes a talent that you wouldn’t expect to come out of Milwaukee, with his wit and lyrical ability he has been at it for a while and in his music you can tell that he isn’t interested in the local fame but more so interested in taking his stake in the game we call Hip Hop.
Pizzle’s latest song Featuring Rico Love from his upcoming project DePreciated Art takes a jab at the rumors and the haters. Live Like a King is a much needed record that definitely pulls Pizzle away from the “local acts” and puts him in an elite status of his own.
Pizzle points out the crab in the barrel mentality in Milwaukee:
“So I came in and realized all these niggas do is wait/wanna get up on the road to riches but don’t want nobody else to pave the way.”
Rico Love talks about all the hate he’s garnered from his hometown Milwaukee:
“Rep my city homie til they shi**ed on me now they gotta get it on they own”
He continues on:
“Forgot about the loans I gave the homes I saved/You woulda been on the streets/You woulda been at you mammy house if you didn’t pick up the phone and call Ric/Now I’m way out you reach/Mansion on the beach…”
