Emotions ran high as K. Michelle headlined a sold-out show at Highline Ballroom in New York on Thursday. Wearing a sparkly bodysuit, the “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” star took her fans on an emotional journey with her soulful songs and tearful testimony.

“I thought my career was over,” said the Memphis songstress as tears rolled down her face. “I thought it was over. I didn’t have anything and I still get angry and I think that’s the reason for a lot of things that I do that I shouldn’t. You can’t take the excuse, you just have to get better and say why and move forward.”

She performed “The Worst Man I Ever Had,” her version of Beyoncé’s “Best Thing I Never Had.” While wearing a wedding veil, she debuted a new song called “When I Find a Man” and belted out her new single “V.S.O.P.” as her fans sang along.

“New York was amazing! Overwhelmed with love and support from my fans. THANK YOU,” tweeted Michelle.

Her debut album Rebellious Soul is due July 30.
