Meek Mill weathered the storm and came out on top. The Maybach Music MC claims the No. 2 spot on the Billboard 200 with his debut Dreams and Nightmares.

The Philly rapper’s album sold 165,000 in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Led by the singles “Amen” and “Young & Gettin’ It,” the project also enters at No. 1 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and Rap Albums charts.

Dreams and Nightmares was released a day after Hurricane Sandy ravaged the East Coast, closing many stores in the Tri-State area, which may have contributed to the lower-than-expected numbers. But Meek wasn’t concerned about the potential loss of sales.

“My focus wasn’t on stores being closed,” he said. “I had a packed house, filled with my family, making sure they were good during this storm.”

Kendrick’s debut good kid, m.A.A.d city slides 2-5 in its second week (63,000), while Taylor Swift remains queen of the charts, moving an additional 344,000 units of Red.
