The nation celebrated its 237th birthday with some red, white, and Mimi. Mariah Carey headlined “Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular” in New York on Independence Day. Hosted by Nick Cannon, the two-hour event also featured performances from Taylor Swift, Pitbull, and Selena Gomez, plus an amazing fireworks display curated by Usher.

The pop diva kicked off the evening with a performance of “America the Beautiful” from Libery State Park. Dressed in a flowing red gown, she belted out the patriotic tune during the pre-taped set.

While nestled between bales of hay, Miguel joined her for their hit collaboration “#Beautiful.”

Before the fireworks lit up the night sky, she changed into a sparkly black number for “Hero,” dedicating it to the “heroes that make us so proud.”

“Thank you so much for all the comments about Hero. Grateful to spend the fourth of July in unity. Feels #Beautiful,” tweeted Mariah.
