The stars came together for a good cause during the 4th biennial “Stand Up to Cancer” event at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on Friday. Celebrities including Gwyneth Paltrow, Kerry Washington, and Halle Berry took the stage to help raise money to end cancer during the one-hour telethon, which aired across multiple networks.

Ariana Grande performed her ballad

“My Everything” in tribute to her grandfather, who passed away of cancer in July. “Sobbed my eyes out as soon as I got back. idk how he was just here & now he’s not & I’m singing a song in his honor. sucks a lot #fuckcancer,” she tweeted.

Lupe Fiasco closed out the show with Common and Jennifer Hudson. The Chicago natives banded together to perform their fighters’ anthem “Remission” for the first time.

Common was also spotted backstage doing the Nae Nae. “Stop before you hurt someone,” JHUD told him.

All the donations received go to support collaborative cancerresearch programs. You can join the fight by visiting standup2cancer.org.
