Lil Wayne fans will have to wait a little longer for his final album. Despite previous reports, Tha Carter V will not be dropping on May 5.

In February, Drake announced the release date while onstage at a show in New Orleans.

“If you want to hear Lil Wayne at his best, if you wanna hear Young Money at they best…Carter V, May 5 ,” said Drizzy.

But during a recent interview, Wayne’s manager Cortez Bryant said that the album is not coming out on May 5.

“You know I push dates back and shit, so I’m not gonna release that date until I really, really, really know what it really, really, really is,” he told Never Not Dope TV (via HHNM).

While a new date has yet to be announced, Wayne has assured fans that C5 will be worth the wait.

“I’m approaching it like it is my last project and I think that’s why it’s a lot different than everything else,” he said during his CRWN interview. “I’m approaching it as if you don’t have tomorrow.”
