Education is apparently important to the incarcerated Lil Boosie, who completed his GED program recently from behind bars.

The Louisiana born rapper, 30, has a fairly full archive of past charges, most notably dodging a possible death penalty in May of last year for a first degree murder charge he beat. Boosie’s decision to become a rapper stems from his drug related expulsion from high school. He has served over three years of his eight-year sentence and released the album Incarcerated from prison in 2010.
