Basketball season has yet to begin, but LA Laker forward, Matt Barnes seems to be in the midst of a losing streak. According to USA Today the fiance of Basketball Wives star, Gloria Govan, was cuffed near Sacramento yesterday afternoon on a felony charge of domestic violence.

Barnes, who was admitted into Sacramento County Main Jail, was reportedly engaged in a physical dispute with “a woman who lived with him and with whom he had a dating relationship.” A 911 call was made by the woman—not identified as Govan— but Barnes allegedly disconnected the call leading the operator to send authorities over and gaining himself a second charge for violent obstruction of a telephone line.

Both Barnes and the woman suffered from visible injuries, but the 30-year-old baller claims he was the victim in this situation texting a Sacramento news reporter:

“U know any domestic violence situation 9 outa 10 times the man gets arrested. That’s the case here I was the victim but still got arrested. No matter what I say people are gonna think what they want…”

After being released on $50,000 bail, Barnes also vented his thoughts through Twitter (@matt_barnes22) posting:

“DON’T LET YOUR EARS WITNESS, WHAT YOUR EYES DIDN’T SEE!!!”
