Kid Cudi is ending his nearly one-month run on Lady Gaga’s Monster’s Ball Tour. The Cleveland rapper had been serving as the opening act, but according to a statement released today (Dec. 16) via his reps, his decision to leave is a result of a scheduling conflict:

“Kid Cudi has decided to take an early leave of absence from Lady Gaga’s Monster Ball tour, in order to balance his schedule surrounding the recording of his next album and acting commitments. Cudi does not want to disappoint his fans and will move forward with his individual show dates in December and throughout the month of January.

Cudi has already been talking about his sophomore album, Cudder, in the press, while the acting commitment likely refers to his role in the upcoming HBO series How to Make It In America.

The rep alsosays that Cudi was not kicked off the tour for punching a fan this past weekend at a show in Vancouver, and that he currently isn’t available for comment.
