TDE has a busy year ahead. With ScHoolboy Q’s album Oxymoron set to debut at No. 1 next week, the label is readying new albums from the rest of its roster including Kendrick Lamar.

The Compton rapper’s sophomore set is expected to arrive in September, Top Dawg Entertainment CEO Anthony Tiffith tells Billboard.

Kendrick has been in the studio working on the follow-up to his acclaimed 2012 debut good kid, m.A.A.d city.

2014 will also bring new projects from Jay Rock, Ab-Soul, Isaiah Rashad, and singer-songwriter SZA.

If that wasn’t enough, TDE plans to drop the first album from Black Hippy, the supergroup comprised of Kendrick, Q, Jay Rock, and Ab-Soul.

In the Billboard cover story, Kendrick shares his reaction to the apologetic text

(“You got robbed. I wanted you to win”)

he received from Macklemore after the Grammys.

“That text surprised me, but Macklemore is a genuine dude,” he said. “However it panned out, I wish him much success. He touched people’s souls, and no one can take that away. Really, the whole Grammy moment was incredible. Not everyone gets that shot.”
