A law firm representing Kanye West has issued a takedown notice regarding ‘Ye’s sex tape.

Fans and rumor mills alike have been abuzz with the recent news that a sex tape involving Kanye West was being shopped to a number of media outlets.

A lawyer for the Chicago emcee has released a statement to AllHipHop regarding the matter, stating that the tape was stolen.

“Be advised that the Screen Shot, as well as the Tape from which the Screen Shot was taken, were illegally obtained and believed to have been stolen from Mr. West’s computer,” wrote Kanye’s lawyer Lisa M. Buckley of Pryor Cashman.

“Your posting, advertising, marketing, displaying and otherwise disseminating the stolen Screen Shot and/or other materials on the Tape constitute actionable violations of Mr. West’s rights of privacy and publicity,” added the notice.

“We hereby demand that you: (1) immediately cease and desist from posting, advertising, marketing, displaying and disseminating the illegally obtained Screen Shot of Mr. West,” demands the notice.

The tape is almost 20 minutes long and appears to have been filmed in a hotel room. His co-star in the tape is an 18-year-old “Kim Kardashian look-a-like,” and claims that she is married at the onset of the tape.

“My husband and I don’t have sex anymore… that’s why I’m here!” she says.

‘Ye is reportedly aware that he is being filmed and is believed to be the one in charge of the camera, as he shuts it off at the end.

“The sex tape is being shopped right now and there’s a lot of interest, but Kanye is freaking out!” said an insider. “He doesn’t want this tape out and will do anything to make sure it stays private. […] Kanye was practically in tears when he heard the tape was being shopped.”
