Earlier this afternoon, VIBE trekked down to Jim Jones’ Manhattan studio for a one-on-one conversation. The Harlem native just released his 5th studio LP, Capo, on Tuesday (Apr.5).
But before Jimmy went into talking about his new project, Dipset’s resident tough-guy revealed that the reunited crew will be dropping their next project on July. 4. The Diplomats EP, aptly titled Independence Day, will feature new tracks from members Cam’ron, Juelz Santana, Freekey Zekey and of course Jimmy.
“The difference is the respect level that’s there amongst of all us feels good,” Jim tells VIBE on getting back together with the Dips. “We’re planning on putting out an EP on July 4th called Independence Day, so look out for that.”
The Diplomats have been rumored to have signed with Interscope Records.-VIBE
