Connecticut state police have arrested rapper Jim Jones following a fight at Foxwoods Resort Casino.
State police spokesman J. Paul Vance says the hip-hop artist and actor was charged with assault on a police officer and breach of peace. He was released after posting bond.
Vance said Saturday that Jones assaulted a trooper during the fight. He said he was not certain how the altercation started Friday night.
The 35-year-old rapper, born Joseph Jones, is one of the Diplomats, a Harlem-based rap crew. His “We Fly High” was one of 2007’s top-selling rap tracks.
An attorney who has represented Jones did not immediately respond to a message seeking comment.
