With his first child on the way and the “Watch the Throne” tour set to launch later this month, the last thing on Jay-Z’s mind is beef. The hip-hop titan had little to say when asked what he thought about Lil Wayne’s subliminal shots on Tha Carter IV.

Weezy’s controversial verse appears on

“It’s Good” featuring Jadakiss and Drake. “Talkin’ about baby money, I got your baby money, kidnap your bitch, get that how much you love your lady money/ I know you fake ni**a, press your brakes ni**a/ I’ll take you out, that’s a date, ni**a,” raps the Young Money MC.

The lyrics were in response to Jay’s verse on “H•A•M,” where he reportedly took shots at Birdman, spitting,

“I’m like really, half a billi, ni**a really you got baby money/ Keep it real with ni**as, ni**as ain’t got my lady money.”

MTV News caught up with Hov at his carnival-themed benefit last week, where he reluctantly addressed the situation.

“That’s sport, that’s rap music,” said Jay. “Nothing is going to change but the participants. I don’t even see why that’s news.”
